Museum mine Prettau-Ahrntal

Mining world Ridnaun Schneeberg near Ridnaun

In the Schneeberg mining museum, the highest in Europe, you can immerse yourself in a world of mining and experience how hard the miners worked to extract the ore. In Ridnaun, the history of South Tyrolean mining turns into an experience for the whole family: discover glittery rocks and look for ore in a real mining outfit complete with mallet, pick, “Pochhammer” and riddle screen.

Adventure mine Schneeberg Passeier in Passeier

The adventure mine and the refuge lodge by the South Tyrolean Schneeberg mountain in Passeier, at an altitude of 2,355m is open from June to October and can only be reached on foot. Take a guided tour through the entire mining site including the pit and experience a very special kind of adventure.
