Mines

Where once miners dug and carried ores such as copper, silver, lead and zinc in precarious conditions, today people now descend safely wearing helmets with headlamps to experience the former “life deep under the earth”. Well-known contemporaries from the South Tyrolean underworld are the tourist attraction and Climate Shafts at Prettau, the Mining Museum Steinhaus, the Adventure Mine in Schneeberg and the Pfunderer Bergwerk mine.
