About 80 museums in South Tyrol give you a thorough insight into the history, tradition and modernity of the province. From art, history, ethnology, agriculture to tourism – there is a good, varied mix of topics in the South Tyrolean museums and they are anything but boring.

South Tyrol’s Archaeology Museum, where you will experience a journey through time from the first trace of human existence up until the early Middle Ages. The main item on display at the museum is the “Similaun Man” (“Ice Man Oetzi”) and his belongings which were found with him.

Hunting and fishing museum, Wolfsthurn Castle offers entertaining, well-prepared culture-historical information about hunting, hunting folk art and fishing.
