... and many other advantages
Holiday home – or long-term residence?
The Romy & Johannes Guesthouse is located at the entrance to the village of Schenna, surrounded by orchards and situated directly on a footpath that leads to Meran. The lively village centre of Schenna is a 20-minute walk away, or just five minutes by car. The house offers views to the southwest of the Meran valley basin, the Vinschgau Valley, the Passeier Valley, as well as of the Mutspitze and Zielspitze peaks. To the northeast, meanwhile, can be seen the vineyards, the village centre of Schenna and the Meran 2000 skiing and hiking area.
Romy and Johannes rent out their guesthouse, which is one of five houses set in a quiet cul-de-sac. The couple are both hosts and neighbours, always ready to offer their guests tips and advice – but at the same time letting them enjoy a fully independent, private holiday. Romy and Johannes wish to give their guests the chance, as temporary locals, to connect deeply with South Tyrol and all it has to offer. Acting as hosts for them is a matter of the heart, as they both also work elsewhere: Romy as an organisational consultant to the senior management of German-speaking companies, Johannes in the financial sector and as a board member.
Guests appreciate the lovingly furnished accommodation of the Romy & Johannes Guesthouse as well as the wonderful views from the various balconies. What they value most, however, is the feeling of not simply being a guest, but also a neighbour and a local. On request the hosts can help plan holidays in advance via Zoom; and they always do their best to ensure that, once arrived, visitors can enjoy their stay to the full.
