Ablions counts 300 souls. It seems that the few houses are snuggled around the village church, but here there is enough green field. Actually Albions is surrounded by fields and woods it is located at the entrance of the Grödental, the gate of the Dolomites. The forest is closer than the nearest town. There is no cinema, but there is a spectacular view of the mountains.

What does a man in his best years in Albions?

Albions is a place, where time seems to stay still. And exactly this is the potential of Albions. “Slowdown” is the big issue in this fast moving society. The desire not to look at the watch for once, to abandon oneself to the own daily rhythm or to the rhythm of nature grows constantly. I have studied in Bologna and every time I came back home I felt the difference between the frantic lifestyle and Albions. Home is for me the place where you can come to rest.

What else do you find at home?

Home is where your heart and family is. At the moment home is also a family project. Together with my parents, my brother Andreas and my sister Silvia we have decided to increase our business and to customize the apartments according to the wishes of our guests. Because we want make our guests feel like home and mostly for those who come to Albions and see that this spot has something special.

Why is it so important for you?

Vacationers have always been important in my life. I remember the flavor of licorice and the smell of gingerbread, which our clients brought as a present. I have experienced hospitality since the early age. Another reason is that working with people makes me happy.

Why private landlords?

Who is looking for authenticity, will find it in the little ones. Who wants to experience nature, must come very close. We are convinced of our family business. True hospitality means to meet the clients at eye levels and welcome them with genuine warmth.
